Problem and Business Value¶
Manage private catalogs, approvals, shared capabilities, compliance packs, controlled promotion, and organization distributions.
This version reduces the operational and governance risk represented by its committed work while preserving local-first operation and human authority.
Personas and Journeys¶
- Individual developer: previews, validates, and adopts the capability locally.
- Platform engineer: configures policy, compatibility, and operational boundaries.
- Security or compliance reviewer: verifies evidence without receiving secrets or source content.
- Maintainer: publishes, supports, migrates, and retires the capability safely.
The primary journey is discover or configure, preview, validate, approve, apply, observe, update, and roll back.
Scope¶
- Organization Catalogs and Approvals: Provide private catalogs, artifact approval, blocking, pinning, shared providers, and delegated administration.
- Controlled Capability Promotion: Promote signed packages and organization distributions across development, staging, production, and air-gapped zones.
Candidates¶
- None approved.
Non-Goals¶
- No enterprise feature may make local or open registry operation incomplete.
- No compliance pack may claim certification without independent approval.
Success Metrics¶
- Every organization external-effect boundary enforces deny overrides.
- Catalog and policy bundles remain portable and usable offline.
- Approval and promotion history is complete and immutable.
